Frequently Asked Questions

Gene's Greenhouses is a year round retail and wholesale garden center and plant grower. We are traditionally open 7 days a week 9am-5pm. Between Thanksgiving-Christmas Eve we are open from 9am-7pm, 7 days a week. We sell to homeowners, landscapers, & garden centers.

We do ship. We sell online and ship to all US states and territories. Check out our website www.shopgenesgreenhouses.co 

We do deliver. 

Retail delivery is $10 in Loranger within 5 miles from greenhouses, increase of $5 depending on distance/amount of items being delivered.

We participate in several plant sale events throughout the year. Several of the events are free to attend; however, some events do have an entrance fee. For more information on the events we attend check out our Events page for upcoming events.

We have wholesale pricing for wholesale customers. 

Wholesale customers must have up to date records of 

• State issued license/permit (required) 
• State re-sale tax certificate (either) 
• Parish/county business license (either)

We do not give credit or offer terms to wholesale accounts. 

Minimum on site purchase 

• $150, yearly average spending of minimum $450

Wholesalers are unable to collect/cash-in loyalty points with Gene's Greenhouses. 

Wholesalers please observe these minimums

• Minimum of 15 for 4 Inch
• Minimum of  6 for 6 Inch, 6 Inch Hanging Baskets, 1 Gallons, & 1.5 Gallons
• Minimum of 2 for 8 Inch, 2 Gallons, 10"Hanging Baskets and larger

Hard goods have a 30 day return policy; refunds will be issued on digital gift card. Plants have a limited refunded, to be determined on individual case basis. Prior to plant failure/death contact/come in to discuss solutions/exchanges for the plant prior to dying. 

Sales occur at different times of the year. Sales are announced via social media platforms; i.e.: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, ww.genesgreenhouses.co, by word of mouth at the greenhouses. No sale covers Clearance items. No Sale will continue past the date(s) specific for the sale. Rainchecks are not issued for sales, on hand quantity is all that is covered for sale pricing. No items will be held for customer during a sale, all sale items included are first come, first serve; phone payments are accepted during sales. 

Clearance items are typically items we are discontinuing to grow or carry. Clearance items are all sales final, no refund of clearance items. No holding of clearance items for customers; first come, first serve. We do not post, advertise clearance items. 

We accept all credit cards, checks (with ID), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Gift Cards (Gene's Greenhouses), & cash. We accept payment in person and over the phone. Items must be paid for before item(s) leave the property. This included in person purchases, over the phone purchases, and online shipping or delivery orders. We do not offer credit (terms) to wholesale accounts.
